- Apprentice Electrician
These workers receive both classroom instruction and on-the-job training from either a master electrician or a journeyman. They need to learn how to maintain, repair, modify and install lighting and power systems. The programs last between 3 to 5 years, whilst on apprenticeship, they earn wages or pay accordingly.
- Journeyman Electrician
They maintain, repair, modify and install lighting and power systems. Other than those, they should be capable of troubleshooting and install control wiring from drawing, terminate cable and read blueprints.
Before being employed as one, he or she should be able to complete apprentice program and obtain a licence, in reference to the requirement set by their state. Their job, on the other hand, includes supervising work of an apprentice.
